Welcome to the Bromley GPTP Website which is intended to help you plan your career in General Practice, answer some of your questions and tell you about some of the opportunities available on the Bromley Scheme.

Apart from its geographical advantages (see “Training Practices”), the Bromley GPTP Scheme enjoys excellent support from the Bromley Hospitals Trust and the Bromley Primary Care Trust. The team based at the Farnborough Education Centre, headed by the Centre Manager Mrs Dawn Urquhart, are happy to give you advice on IT and library access in the Farnborough Education Centre.

Education Centre

The education centre is based at the Princes Royal University Hospital (PRUH), Farnborough and is a busy and energetic domain with regular events, presentations and meetings.  There are regular Academic half-day events, 6 for general Practice and similar number for the acute Hospital Trust.  The meeting are usually very relevant, interesting and interactive. 

The education centre is a stand alone unit within the grounds of the PRUH and is made up of a main building which houses the auditorium, library and information service, administrative offices and a privately run restaurant.  The centre also has a number of annexe which the GPTP use regularly for their small group work.  Both the main auditorium and the annexe are equipped with fully integrated audio-visual systems and can receive presentations via email.  The auditorium can receive x-ray digital images and we have a projecting microscope and visualiser.
The centre also boosts excellent video conferencing facilities and the library is both traditional and hosts an excellent digital resource section.  The modern theme is continued with a ten station IT suite with all the latest teaching and learning aids.
